The City of Morro Bay, located on California's central coast, is taking steps toward a drought-resistant and sustainable water future. The City is building a Water Reclamation Facility with an advanced water purification that will meet state regulations, protect the environment, and contribute a safe and reliable water source for Morro Bay’s homes and businesses

SYVAB, a local authority that operates a large wastewater treatment plant in the suburbs of Stockholm, was looking for a technology partner that could support a major MBR retrofit. SYVAB selected SUEZ’s LEAPmbr system, with ZeeWeed technology for its compact design and high energy efficiency. 

SUEZ will provide the Santa Clarita Valley Sanitation District of Los Angeles County (SCVSD) an enhanced membrane system using high pH reverse osmosis technology to support chloride removal at the wastewater treatment facility in Santa Clarita, California.

SUEZ highlighted key customer wins that illustrate the company’s dynamism in the water sector, while announcing several initiatives demonstrating the company’s leadership in sustainability at WEFTEC 2019, held Sept. 23-25 in Chicago.

The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (Metropolitan) is embarking on a water reuse program in partnership with the Sanitation Districts of Los Angeles County (Sanitation Districts). A demonstration facility has been established to test an innovative purification process, gain regulatory approval for the process and obtain data needed for a full-scale program.

SUEZ has developed a new corrosion and scale control chemistry for cooling water. E.C.O.Film, which stands for Engineered Carboxylate Oxide, relies on SUEZ’s proprietary engineered film technology to eliminate the need for phosphorus, and other anti-corrosion solutions that employ EPA priority pollutant metals.

SUEZ’s OptiSea* uses a combination of chemical treatment and digital monitoring to prevent deposition and fouling in cooling systems that rely on seawater. OptiSea will reduce Total Cost of Operation (TCO) for customers by maximizing cycles of concentration and optimizing chemical usage, with performance assurance through real-time deposition monitoring.

SUEZ has honored Penn State University’s hydronics team and Central Chilled Water Team with a ‘Proof-Not-Promises’ Award for a project that reduced operating costs while optimizing cooling water processes.

The Oakland wastewater treatment plant in Topeka, Kansas will generate up to 530 SCFM of pipeline-ready renewable natural gas (RNG) each year with SUEZ Methanis* membrane biogas upgrading. The project, which marks the first North American installation of Methanis, will not only offset the operating costs at the plant, but also generate additional revenue from the sale of renewable natural gas…

SUEZ has commissioned its largest Evaporis* LT (low temperature) belt dryer system in history in Monterrey, Mexico. The dryers supplied to the Dulces Nombres Wastewater Treatment Plant are the first sludge thermal units in Mexico. They will divert up to 405 tonnes of sludge every day from landfills and open new avenues for sustainable recovery.
